Susan, our guide from Foten Taxi Tours first took us to Clava Cairns, a 4,000-year-old cemetery. These burial monuments combines ring cairns, passage graves and stone circles.

A denizen of the Culloden Battlefield tourist center! The battle was a slaughterhouse for the Jacobites, supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie who tried to restore his father to the Britsh throne.   The Culloden Viaduct was built in 1889 and is still in use today. It's the longest masonry railway viaduct in Scotland.
 
The adorable Highland coo is a hardy breed described as almost as cold-tolerant as the arctic-dwelling caribou and reindeer.   Loch Ness is a beautiful lake.
 
It is the UK's largest loch (lake), holding more water than all the lakes in England and Wales combined. It's over 750 feet deep.   Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, is a mythical creature. She was brought to worldwide attention in 1933.
